ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING

Considering the drying time of oil paints, it will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete your painting.
There are several steps I take from conception to completion of each oil painting. First I sketch either your idea or my own idea on paper and email the image to you, and if needed, make revisions until you are satisfied with the sketch. Then, I charcoal the sketch onto the canvas and begin the painting. I paint in thin layers which sometimes creates a 3D effect. After the basics are painted, I allow the painting to completely dry for many days under a 100 watt light before I continue with the details of light and shadow. Then, it is dried for several more days before I add more details, and yes, dry it again and sign and date it. This process is time consuming, but assures me that the painting is thoroughly dry before the last detail, which is giving it a light coat of varnish for protection and enhancement.
I require a 25% non refundable deposit on commissions.

I will email an image of the completed painting to you. You are under no obligation to purchase any work of which you do not approve. If you are satisfied with the finished work, then I will email an invoice to you with the total cost. I accept PayPal and personal checks. There is a 10 day clearance on personal checks.
Priority shipping and insurance are included in the price
for U.S. buyers. International buyers must contact me for shipping costs.
